At 22:10 a room is rarely as dark as it looks. A standby light, a gap in the curtains, the street. Nocturne is moulded so that nothing rests on your eyelids: two deep cups sit around the eyes, the nose bridge is shaped to close the gap where light usually creeps in, and you can open your eyes underneath it.
The shell is a slow-rebound foam that gives under the strap and comes back to shape; the lining is a soft brushed knit. The elastic strap adjusts with hook-and-loop, so it holds without pressing on your temples and stays put when you turn over. It folds flat enough for a coat pocket.

A sleep mask makes a room darker; it is not a treatment for a sleep disorder, and if you regularly cannot sleep that is worth raising with a doctor. For hygiene reasons this item can only be returned if the packaging is unopened.
